In this short session, writers will work with fiction or creative nonfiction pieces that are “finished,” but not quite ready to be submitted for publication. The beginning of the course will be conducted as a workshop and each piece will receive detailed, written feedback from the group and the instructor. The second half of the session will focus on polishing and proofreading techniques, researching potential markets, formatting manuscripts according to standard submission guidelines, writing cover letters, record keeping strategies, and submitting your work. Writers should begin the course with 1-2 complete works.
